Size and fitting guide
Rugs adapted to your spaces
An essential decorative element, the rug allows you to create multiple universes and is a real added value in an interior. It allows to sublimate a room by offering comfort and character.
Choosing the right rug can sometimes be complicated, it is important to focus on the colours, materials, size and place in the room it will cover. In large, open rooms, rugs can define different spaces, creating new moods.
Although there are no set rules for displaying a rug, there is a size of rug that best suits the room's surface and furniture.
The living room
LThe rug is an important element in the decoration of your living room. We recommend that you opt for a large carpet that will give volume to your spaces. There are several options for its arrangement.
To make a living room warm and welcoming, place the rug in the centre between the sofa and the armchairs. To visually enlarge the living room, place the rug slightly below the feet of the surrounding armchairs. In rooms with large volumes, order the space by placing the carpet under all your furniture pieces, whether it be your armchairs, sofas, coffee table, etc.
You can also design your own carpet shape to suit the exact configuration of your space and your living room furniture by having it made to measure.
The dining room
As well as being aesthetically beautiful and comfortable, rugs help to reduce noise and vibration in a room. Ideally in a dining room, it should be proportional to the table and larger so that the legs of the chairs do not extend beyond the edge of the rug. It should be about 1.5 m longer than the length and width of the table (75 cm on each side). We advise you to choose a rug that best fits the shape of the table to maintain visual balance.
The bedroom
A bedroom should be pleasant, warm and cosy.
To achieve this, you can rely on the rug, which contributes to its beauty as well as to its comfort and originality. It can be placed in front of the bed and at the same time frame it to visually enlarge the space. To warm up a very spacious room, you can place a very large rug under the bed and bedside tables. And if you want a unique rug with a different shape and a special size, you can create your own custom-made rug.
