Churuatas oro

A key piece in the Tela Alma collection, Churuatas is a remarkably fine rug, born from the collaboration between the Serge Lesage fashion house and Venezuelan artist Claudia Lavegas. It translates one of her emblematic works into textile form, inspired by the circular indigenous huts the artist discovered in the Amazonian village of Mayupa.

Through the circle, the artist also celebrates a universal symbol of perfection and eternity. The rug's design echoes the radial structure of these traditional architectures, unfolding precise lines from the center to the periphery.

This circular motif was created using a layering of gradients and textures that add volume. Both graphic and organic, it creates a sense of movement and depth, while elegantly structuring the space.

The palette of natural and golden hues subtly interacts with the light, revealing the richness of the material and the finesse of its execution. Every detail testifies to the high level of technical skill employed by Serge Lesage in creating this complex piece, where reliefs and textures are worked with great precision.
